Commentary
Vancouver residents who voted in the last provincial election in May 2009--- in the decided majority DO NOT support the new casino and hotel for BC Place Stadium, the new roof for BC Place Stadium or money to help private gas companies in the North of British Columbia with these three response considerations averaging 135/503 residents in support (26.8%). Raw support for the BC Liberal Party is (29.22%).
Highest support is for an addition to the annual budget for Elections BC for Citizen Initiative, more achievable Recall, greater accountability of municipal and city elections and greater oversight of professional bodies, currently self policing (47%).
On a decided basis, the BC NDP Party leads the BC Liberal Party 56%-44% while the BC NDP Party and BC Green Party lead the BC Liberal Party and BC Conservative Party 56%-44% among Vancouver residents.
This is a targeted survey of (net) 503 provincial voters from the 2009 BC general provincial election who reside in the City of Vancouver. The survey was conducted between March 9-13, 2011 and features a margin of error (M.O.E.) of 4.37%, 19 times out of 20 @ 95% confidence. No sponsor for the poll is disclosed.
