Commentary
Observations:
This group of respondents was pre-qualified as “Toronto Maple Leafs fans”. Over two-thirds of the group (decided) are of the opinion the Leafs will make the playoffs this year.
(43%) of Leafs fans are of the opinion that cell phone rates are “too high”. Nearly two-thirds of those fans ‘who appear to own cell phones” are of the opinion that the rates are too high.
A distinct majority of Leafs fans support Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s ‘get tough on crime’ (including young offenders) policy.
Comments:
There aren’t enough questions, nor is the subject matter sufficiently related to make any scientific hypothesis (from say a psychological or political science standard-and certainly not a philosophical one), however there are a couple of interesting correlations between respondents choices.
First, the Toronto Maple Leaf ‘fans’ are of the opinion that the team is going to the Stanley Cup play-offs this year. Secondly, the majority of ‘these’ fans (who appear to own cellular phones) are of the opinion the rates they are paying are too high. Thirdly, Leafs fans, which appear to own cell phones and think the rates are too high, are more inclined to support Stephen Harper’s ‘get tough on crime’ policy.
