Commentary
So, in Vancouver City - BC Premier is solid in positive public opinion.
Vancouverites go big support for nurses for both worker compensation matters, and a raise. There is also majority support for raise for BCGEU - government employees at 3% for each of five years.
BCAG Eby is in the drivers seat on introduction to injury caps for minor injuries - unfortunately, the ICBC mess and subsequent expected responses to perceived incompetence (and much worse) put his policy in some jeopardy with trial lawyers. Vancouverites are hedging their bets.
Claimants, lawyers and management are to blame.
BC NDP Finance Minister Carole James gets some revenge in Vancouver (who 'backdoored' her on leadership) with high numbers for tax on big value homes.
Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain large pipeline expansion is a non starter in Vancouver - a full on failure. Support for this pipeline was always known to be low on Vancouver Island, Vancouver and Burnaby City and city suburbs along Highway 1 where the pipeline route expansion is set to occur, covering and inclusive of Vancouver Island nearly one half of the provincial population.
The areas and regions of the province more supportive of the pipeline are in the Fraser Valley - Richmond, in the North and to some extent in the Interior.
This is a random poll of Vancouver residents @ 1,013 respondents conducted in the past < week. Adjustments have been made to align with baseline from calls generally split on either side of Main Street. The Margin of Error was predicated on a size of voting population in 2014 municipal or 3.07%
